Summer Music Festival Amenities, 2013
Temperatures are rising, plans to frequent the outdoors are increasing, and pool-side cookouts with friends are (hopefully) becoming a weekly thing. But for those of you who enjoy good live music, there is nothing better than the plethora of summer events around the country. Every year these music festivals seem to become bigger and bigger, adding more facilities and amenities for music-goers at every turn. Here is a look at some of the coolest summer music festival amenities, from cell phone charging kiosks to portable showers at Bonnaroo and Summerfest.
Bonnaroo, Manchester, TN, June 13-16, 2013
While you’re rocking out in Manchester, Tennessee, to the sounds of Paul McCartney, Mumford and Sons, and Tom Petty, you might think that you’re out of luck as far as amenities are concerned. Think again. Bonnaroo has some top notch perks in place to make sure that you’re experience is as enjoyable as the music you’re listening to. For starters, if you’re feeling dirty, sweaty, or just want a quick refresher, they will have on-site showers! At just $7 during peak hours and $5 during off peak hours, that sounds like a bargain to us! Don’t worry- each shower is equipped with plenty of Garnier Fructis to go around. In addition to showers, there are also mist stations, shopping facilities, and cell phone charging kiosks. Just because you’re in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee doesn’t mean you’ll be without plenty of first class comforts.
Summerfest, Milwaukee, WI, June 26-30, July 2-7, 2013
One of the best backdrops for a music festival this summer has to be Summerfest in Wisconsin. Eleven days of madness with the lake as your backdrop, this Wisconsin wonder is always a good time! If at any point while seeing over 800 bands in eleven days you get tired and need a break, Summerfest has you covered with some unique conveniences of their own. One of the coolest things that Summerfest has are some interactive exhibits that are sure to delight! From PS3 gaming stations to vendors, to trade-booths galore, a hole in one golf challenge, paddleboats, a cool down lounge, and piano bar, Summerfest has plenty to keep you busy even when you’re not listening to music.
So if you’re making the trek to Tennessee for Bonnaroo, or traveling to Milwaukee for Summerfest this summer, there’s no doubt that you’ll hear some great music, go to some cool venues, and have access to some of the coolest amenities ever offered in a festival setting. When you’re looking to cool down, do some shopping, or power up at a cell phone charging station, you’re in good hands.
